Targeted, evidence-based adjustments to drive performance, inclusion and compliance
PASSHE delivers professional Workplace Needs Assessments designed to identify role-specific barriers experienced by neurodivergent employees and provide clear, practical recommendations that improve productivity, wellbeing and organisational effectiveness.
Built on over a quarter of a century of specialist expertise in neurodiversity and Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), our assessments go beyond generic adjustments. We focus on how job demands, systems and environments interact with individual working styles, ensuring support is precise, proportionate and immediately actionable.

What Is a Workplace Needs Assessment?
A Workplace Needs Assessment is a structured, professional review that:
- Analyses the demands of an individual’s role
- Identifies barriers affecting performance, communication and wellbeing
- Evaluates existing processes, tools and working practices
- Delivers tailored recommendations for reasonable adjustments and support strategies
The focus is on practical workplace solutions, not diagnosis.
Our Assessment Process
1. Pre-assessment review
We gather key information about the role, working environment and specific challenges.
2. Individual consultation
A structured discussion with the employee to explore strengths, barriers and work demands.
3. Manager consultation
Where appropriate, a separate conversation with the line manager to understand organisational context and expectations.
4. Analysis and reporting
We assess tasks, systems and environments before producing a detailed written report including:
- Clear adjustment recommendations
- Rationale for each recommendation
- Practical implementation guidance
5. Optional follow-up support
Further advice, coaching and training are available to support effective implementation.
